service hour opportunities
Citizens’ Climate Lobby
At Citizens’ Climate Lobby, we’re committed to building the political will for the climate solutions we all need. As empowered citizens, we talk with neighbors, friends, and local officials about how national climate action can help ensure a healthy future while strengthening the American economy.
Tri-City Animal Shelter
Do you love animals and people? All volunteers must be over the age of 18 and able to commit to a two hour shift weekly for six months. Volunteers are taken on an as-needed basis and recruitment is continuous. Preference will be given to people with experience or those with an area of interest that meets an immediate need.
Alameda County Community Food Bank
Volunteer shifts in our Oakland warehouse are essential to our daily impact. You’ll sort fresh produce, prepare emergency food boxes, and help our agency partners shop and load their cars with food.
Martha’s kitchen
Today, between our hot meal and grocery programs, Martha’s Kitchen provides nearly 230,000 meals each month. While San Jose has been our home for 43 years, we feel called to provide food security to as many communities as we possibly can.
Kids Against Hunger Fremont
We are looking to build a team of committed volunteers we can count on to help supervise school-wide packing events. We will provide you with training from start to finish. It takes a minimum of 40 adult volunteers to successfully implement a school-wide packing event involving 500 - 2,000 students. This is a high impact, low investment opportunity to make a significant difference to feed countless hungry kids.
